Free Kickboxing Classes in Pound Ridge
Kickboxing gives you a sense of confidence. You will discover how to defend yourself all while dropping weight and getting in incredible shape. Our teachers are all fighters and they’ll teach you correct technique to get the most power and speed from your kicks and punches. Just because our coaches are fighters doesn’t mean you’ll have to fight. Get Ready to Work
Dynamic Stretching for five mins and afterwards right into jumping rope. Jump to high energy music for three three minute rounds with some calisthenics between rounds. Priming your body by breaking a light sweat will help you get the most out of the rest of class.

The teacher will show you a combo that you will practice for the full round and try to get it right before you get too tired. Then between the round you’ll catch a quick breather, just enough time to show you the next round’s combo. After a few classes you will start to appear like you know what you are doing. The more you train the better you will get, new clients think a couple of our women in cardio kickboxing classes are fighters, thats how good their striking has gotten.
Buddy Drills
Now we do buddy drills. Don’t worry you’re not striking each other but you will hold pads or focus mitts for one another. Now you and your workout partner will look like a trainer and their fighter, and you’ll get to swap and play both sides. You might feel a little awkward but don’t fret, it only takes a couple of workouts to get your moves down, both for smacking mitts and for being a good partner and holding them. After your 1st or second class it’ll be a piece of cake.
Abdominals
The whole body mechanics of throwing a punch or kick already gives you a sick ab and core workout. In our workouts we still take the time to work on our core and do some ab exercises. To get our girls ready for bikini season we’ll do all different abdominal training to help you get back in that swimsuit.
Cool Down
We end our training with some yoga and high fives for for finishing your first class. In an hour of kickboxing you scorched more calories than you could running on a fitness treadmill, stationary bike, or lifting weights.
