Kickboxing gives you a renewed sense of self-confidence. You’ll learn how to defend yourself all while losing weight and getting in amazing shape. Our teachers are all fighters and they will show you effective technique to get the most strength and speed out of your kicks and punches. You never fight with another member in our Women’s Only kickboxing classes so you’ll never have to worry about getting hit. Stretching/Warm-up


Dynamic Stretching for 5 mins and then right into jumping rope. Jump to high energy music for 3 three minute rounds with some exercises between rounds. Priming your body by breaking a light sweat will help you get the most out of the rest of class.


Working on the Heavy Bags


Now its time to put on our gloves and start punching stuff. Our bag area holds thirty punching bags, this isn’t a taebo class, you want to feel your fist strike something when you throw a blow. Hitting things is the best stress reliever. There’s nothing more relaxing then winding up and punching a bag as hard as you can and turning life’s problems on mute for the sixty minutes of class. We aren’t just smacking the heavy bag aimlessly, the coach will take you through many combinations using punches, knees, and kicks. The more classes you take the better you will get, new members think some of our women in cardio kickboxing classes are fighters, thats how good their kickboxing has become.


Now we do partner drills. Don’t worry you’re not punching each other but you will hold pads or focus mitts for each other. Now you and your workout partner will look like a trainer and their boxer, and you will get to swap and play both sides. You might feel a little awkward but don’t fret, it only takes a few classes to get your moves down, both for hitting thai pads and for being a good partner and holding them. At your next or third class it will be a piece of cake for you.


Abdominals


Your abs will already be feeling all the kicks and punches you’ve thrown. We still make time to work on our ladies’ tummies and do some ab work. To get our girls ready for summertime we’ll do all different abdominal training to help you get back in that bikini.


The Home Stretch

We conclude our classes with some yoga and high fives for for finishing your first class. In an hour of kickboxing you burned more calories than you could running on a fitness treadmill, riding a bike, or lifting weights.
