Get Ready to Work

Dynamic Stretching for 5 minutes and right into jumping rope. Jump to high energy music for 3 three minute rounds with some exercises in-between rounds. By starting off with 15 minutes of stretching and warming up exercises you will get more from your muscles for the next 45 minutes of class.

Time to Hit Stuff

Its time to punch stuff! We glove up and get ready to go. Our bag system holds 30 bags, this isn’t a taebo class, you need to feel your fist move something when you throw a strike . Pounding the crap out of a punching bag and pretending its your compliance officer or ex is a great stress relief. The coach will show you a combination that you’ll practice for the whole round and attempt to perfect before you get too tired. Then after the round you’ll catch a quick breather, just long enough to teach you the next round’s combo. After a few classes you’ll start to appear like you know what you’re doing. You will probably seem a little uncoordinated and off balance in your first class, regardless of your fitness level. Considering that the challenging moves will be different for your muscles, not just your brain. Though the combinations usually are comprised of pretty basic combinations, when all is said and done, it is a routine that improves with time. Plan to give yourself 3 or 4 classes before you feel like you know the techniques. Many classes mix the same standard moves in a different order or portion of the combo.

Partner Up

At this point we have the class partner up. Its not to make you square up with one another, now will hold mitts for each other. Now you get to act like a trainer holding mitts for their fighter then change off and turn into the fighter hitting the mitts. You might feel a little awkward but don’t worry, it takes a handful of workouts to get your moves down, both for smacking mitts and for being a good partner and holding them. After your first or next work out it’ll be a piece of cake.

6 Pack Secrets

Your abdominals will definitely be feeling all the kicks and punches you have thrown. We still take time to train our ladies’ stomaches and do some ab training. To get our kickboxers ready for bikini season we’ll do all different abdominal training to help you get back in that swimsuit.

We will have each student pick up a set of weights and do shoulder, arms, and lower body exercises. This is a great way to build muscle while making your body to burn some extra calories. The Last thing we do is grab a set of dumbbells. Boxing will help define your arms but then after a few rounds on the bag picking up a pair of dumbbells and following along with the group will help you achieve the sculpted and toned arms you’re looking for.

The Home Stretch

Congrats, you dominated it and made it through your first class.

Each element of our training will train the major muscles of the body. The combination of using the muscles in such an explosive manner tones as well as develops an endurance that can quicken the metabolism.
