Warm up and Stretching
We blast some music on the stereo system and then start our warmup. We need to get the atmosphere and energy level up to get going. Time to De-stress

There’s nothing better then winding up and smashing a bag as hard as you can and turning life’s issues on the back burner for the 60 minutes of class. We aren’t just striking the punching bag aimlessly, the coach will take you through different types of combinations working with punches, knees, and kicks. You will most likely feel a little uncoordinated and off balance in the first workout, no matter what your fitness level. Since the difficult techniques will be different for your body, not just your brain. Though the combinations usually are basic combinations, when all is said and done, it is a routine that gets easier with practice. Plan to give your body 3 or 4 sessions before you feel like you know the moves. Many classes blend the same basic techniques in a different order or portion of the combination.
Now we do buddy drills. Don’t worry you are not attacking each other but you will hold pads or focus mitts for each other. Now you and your partner will appear to be a coach and their boxer, and you will get to switch and play both sides. Don’t get discouraged either, just like it takes a few classes to feel balanced and smooth punching the mitts and heavy bags, the same thing can be said for learning to hold pads. After your first or next work out it’ll be a piece of cake.
The full body mechanics of throwing a punch or kick already gives you an amazing ab and core workout. We still make time to work on our ladies’ stomaches and do some abdominal training. siccors, Planks, med ball slams,.
