Get Ready to Work

Then after the round you’ll catch a quick breather, just long enough to teach the next round’s combo. After a class or 2 you’ll begin to look like you know how to kick some @ ss. You will most likely feel a little uncoordinated and off base in your first class, regardless of your fitness level. Considering that the challenging moves will be different for your body, not just your brain. Though the routines usually are made up of basic combinations, when all is said and done, it is a technique that gets easier with time. Plan to give your body 3 or 4 classes before you feel like you know the techniques. Many workouts blend the same basic moves in a different order or part of the combination.
At this point we have the class pair up. Don’t worry you’re not hitting each other but you will hold pads or focus mitts for each other. Now you get to imitate a trainer holding mitts for their fighter then change off and become the fighter bashing the mitts. Don’t get discouraged either, just like it takes a few sessions to feel balanced and smooth hitting the mitts and boxing bags, the same thing can be said for learning to hold pads. At your 2nd or third session it will be a breeze for you.
Time for Abs
The full body motion of throwing a punch or kick already gives you an amazing ab and core workout. In our workouts we still take the time to isolate our core and do some abdominal movements. To get you ready for summertime we’ll do all different ab work to help you get back in that bikini.
The Home Stretch
And your first training session is done. Props for pushing it and making it through. an hour of kickboxing burns more calories then lifting weights, jogging on a fitness treadmill, or riding a bike.
