Get Ready to Work


We blast some beats on the stereo and then start our warmup. Get a high energy vibe in the room before we start. Which ever the teacher chooses that day much like the music, warm up with some stretching, jogging, or jump rope. We perspire and elevate your heart rate to get the most from your training and help avoid injury.


Time to De-stress


Now its time to punch stuff! We glove up and get ready to go. Our bag area holds 30 heavy bags, this isn’t a taebo class, you need to feel your fist move something when you throw a punch . Hitting things is a great stress reliever. There’s nothing more fun then winding up and punching a boxing bag as hard as you can and placing life’s issues on mute for the 60 minutes of class. The coach will show you a combination that you will practice for the whole round and attempt to get it right before you get too tired. Then after the round you’ll catch a quick breather, just long enough to teach you the next round’s combo. After a class or 2 you’ll start to look like you know what you are doing. You’ll probably feel a bit uncoordinated and off base in your first lesson, no matter what your fitness level. Considering that the demanding techniques will be different for your body, not just your brain. Though the combos usually are made up of fairly basic combos, when all is said and done, it is a routine that gets easier with time. Plan to give your body 3 or 4 classes before you feel like you know the movements. Many sessions combine the same basic techniques in a different order or portion of the combo.


Pad work

Now we do partner drills. Don’t worry you’re not hitting each other but you will hold pads or focus mitts for one another. Now you and your workout buddy will appear to be a trainer and their fighter, and you’ll get to swap and play both sides. You might feel a little like a spazz at first but don’t fret, it takes a handful of workouts to get your technique down, both for smacking pads and for being a good partner and holding them. By your next or third class it will be a cakewalk for you.


Gut buster time


Your abdominals will already be feeling all the kicks and punches you’ve thrown. In our workouts we still take the time to isolate our core and do some ab movements. siccors, Planking, med ball throws,.

and twists help to make you feel the burn and get you toned for the beach.


Almost Done!

We conclude our classes with some yoga and high fives for finishing strong. In an hour of cardio Kickboxing you scorched more calories than you could jogging on a fitness treadmill, stationary bike, or lifting weights.


Each component of our class will work the major muscles of the body. The combination of using the muscles in such a quick manner tones as well as develops an endurance that can accelerate the metabolism.
