Warm Up Routine
We blast some beats on the stereo system and then begin our warmup. Have a high energy vibe in the bag rack before we start. Whatever the coach goes with that day much like the tunes, warm up with some stretching, jogging, or jump rope. We want to get the muscles warm and loose in order to get the most from the rest of the workout.
Time to hit stuff! We glove up and get ready to go. Our bag rack holds 30 bags, this isn’t a taebo class, you need to feel your fist strike something when you throw a strike . Punching is a great stress reliever. There’s nothing better then winding up and hitting a punching bag as hard as you can and placing life’s drama on the back burner for the sixty minutes of class. We aren’t just blasting the punching bag aimlessly, the trainer will take you through various combos using punches, knees, and kicks. The more classes you take the better you will get, new members think a few of our women in cardio kickboxing classes are competitors, thats how awesome their kickboxing has gotten.
When we are all done with the bags we switch it up and have you pair up with another member in class. One girl will hold pads for the other. We divide the class into new students and more advanced students so the new students have simpler more basic combos while the more experienced kick boxers get longer more intricate combinations. In your very first workout you will see that holding for a partner isn’t a rest period . Its almost just as tough as punching them.
6 Pack Secrets
Time for Abs, even though without knowing it you have been training your abdominals the full session, turning your form on punches and kicks. At this time the class does some abdominal work. planking, sit ups, and russian twists, all fun stuff. All strength stems from your core so this work will help you out in future sessions.
Now its time to pick up some weight. Now its time to finish strong and push it class is almost finished. The Last thing we do is grab a set of weights. Boxing will help tone your arms but after an a couple of minutes on the bag rack picking up a set of dumbbells and following along with the class will help you get the sculpted and toned arms you’re searching for.
We finish our sessions with some yoga and high fives for for finishing your first class. In an hour of Boxing you burnt more calories than you could running on a treadmill , stationary bike, or lifting weights.
Each component of our training will train the major muscles of the body. The combination of using the muscles in such an explosive manner tones as well as builds a stamina that can quicken your metabolism.
