A different training routine will keep your body guessing and changing, so you might be sore in areas you never felt before. Get ripped and in the best shape since highschool. Those two things are what everybody wants from their workouts. You will exercise like a fighter without the concern of getting hit because our Women’s Only Cardio Kickboxing Classes are non contact. The only thing you will be punching is a bag or focus mitts. Lets break down our 1 hour kickboxing class at WFC.


Stretching/Warm-up


We blast some beats on the stereo system and then start our warmup. Have a high energy atmosphere in the bag rack before we start. Which ever the teacher decides on that day much like the tunes, we will warm up with some stretching, jogging, or jump rope. We sweat and elevate your heart rate in order to get the most out of your training and help prevent injury.


Gloves on


Now its time to hit stuff! We glove up and get ready to work. Our bag area holds 30 punching bags, this isn’t a taebo class, you need to feel your fist hit something when you throw a strike . Hitting bags is the best stress reliever. There’s nothing more fun then winding up and hitting a heavy bag as hard as you can and placing life’s issues on mute for the hour of class. We aren’t just striking the punching bag aimlessly, the trainer will take you through different combinations using punches, knees, and kicks. The more classes you take the better you will become, a lot of new students think a few of our women in cardio kickboxing classes are fighters, thats how good their striking has gotten.


When we are all done with the bags we change it up and will have you partner up with another student in class. One student will hold pads for the other. Newer kickboxers will have easier combos while our students that have been with us longer have more difficult combinations. In your very first session you’ll find out that holding mitts isn’t a rest period . Its nearly just as hard as punching them.


Ab Round


The full body mechanics of throwing a punch or kick already gives you a sick ab and core workout. In our classes we still take the time to work on our core and do some ab movements. Sit ups, side planks, med ball slams,.

and twists help to make you feel the burn and get your tummy toned for bikini season.


Now its time to pick up some weight. Time to finish strong and push it class is almost over. Adding weight lifting into the class is what is going to make all the difference when it comes to getting a toned body Boxing will help tone your arms but then after an a couple of minutes on the bag grabbing a pair of dumbbells and lifting with the group will help you achieve the defined and toned arms you’re looking for.
